Context: To empower India's young minds, the Atal Innovation Mission has launched three new initiatives to encourage creativity and innovation.

Details

• Three new resources have been launched by the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) to encourage creativity and innovation among young people in India.
• The ATL Tinkering Curriculum, Equipment Handbook, and Calendar of Activities for 2023–2024 were all unveiled at the launch event.

ATL Tinkering Curriculum

• The ATL Tinkering Curriculum is a systematic learning route meant to assist students in developing and honing their innovative abilities.
• The curriculum was created in partnership with Makerghat and includes a wide range of topics, including fundamentals of electronics and mechanics as well as cutting-edge technologies like 3D printing and the Internet of Things.
• Students will be encouraged to find and create innovative solutions to daily issues via hands-on, practical learning with this programme. 

Equipment Manual

• The Equipment Handbook contains detailed instructions for the equipment used in Atal Tinkering Laboratories in schools around the country.
• Each item of equipment and tool, together with its specs, uses, and illustrative projects that may be made with it is covered in full in the guidebook.
• It is an excellent resource for anybody interested in exploring the potential of creativity and problem-solving. 

Calendar of Activities for 2023-24

• The Calendar of Activities for 2023–24 specifies a calendar of activities for the entire year that is designed to encourage student creativity and entrepreneurship.
• The calendar includes the most recent Tinkering Curriculum and Equipment Manual.
• It also includes a section titled "Activity of the Month," which lists intriguing tasks that kids may conduct in their ATL lab each month.
