Recently, Brahmastra missile is developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). It is a hypersonic glide missile.

Key Points of the Brahmastra Missile:

●  Name: Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRAShM)

●  Speed: 12144 km/h, 3.37 km per second

●  Range: 1500 km

●  Deployment: it can be launched from both land & sea

●  Impact Time: Obliterates enemy ships in 7 - 8 minutes after launch.

●  Technological Advancements:

It Surpasses China’s DF-17 in range & tech.

It has heat resistant materials for extreme temperature endurance.

There is a progress in scramjet & glide technology.
