About the H-1B visa

The H-1B visa is a temporary work visa that allows US employers to hire foreign workers for speciality occupations. The visa is nonimmigrant, meaning the holder is not a permanent resident of the US.

Trump’s administration will likely intensify the competition with China, building on the tech sanctions and supply chain reshoring strategies initiated during his first term.

Biden emphasized collaboration with China on AI to prevent an arms race, however, Trump may take a more aggressive stance, focusing on establishing US technological supremacy, which could lead to more assertive policies on AI, especially in military applications, without much concern for ethical considerations.
