The E-Daakhil portal was launched in Ladakh.

What is the E-Daakhil portal?

The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) launched the E-Daakhil portal in September 2020.

The portal was recently launched in Ladakh, and it is now available in all states and union territories.

Objective of the E-Daakhil portal

The main objective of the E-Daakhil portal is to make it easier for consumers to file complaints both online and offline, providing an efficient, cost-effective, and hassle-free mechanism to approach the relevant consumer forum.

The E-Daakhil portal currently has more than 2,81,024 registered users. A total of 1,98,725 cases were filed, with 38,453 cases resolved.

Key features of the E-Daakhil portal

Complaints can be filed from anywhere, regardless of physical location.

State consumer commissions conduct online investigations into complaints.

Fees can be paid either online or directly.

Other benefits include the ability to file notices, download case documents and court hearing videos, and receive email or SMS alerts.

Integration with common service centers to help rural consumers with e-filing.

The E-Daakhil portal revolutionized consumer grievance redressal by allowing consumers in both urban and remote areas to file complaints online, track case progress, and make payments from anywhere.  

Way Forward

The government is working to launch the "e-Jagriti platform" to improve case filing, tracking, and management. It will ensure faster dispute resolution, less delays, and reduced paperwork to ensure a more accessible and effective justice system for consumers.
