Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI)
- Food Safety and Standards Act (2006) established Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
- FSSAI function under the administrative control of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
- It Promote Standards for food items and regulate their manufacturing, storage, distribution, sale and import.
- Its Headquarters is in New Delhi.
- The Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer are appointed by the Government.
