KALARIPAYATTU

The Indian Kalaripayattu Federation has criticized the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) for relegating Kalaripayattu to a demonstration sport in the 38th National Games (Uttarakhand, 2025). Originating from Kerala, Kalaripayattu is a traditional martial art with rich history and various training phases. It was previously part of competitive events in the 37th National Games.
