• The Union Defence Minister of India while virtually Addressing the plenary session of the Moscow Conference on International Security-2022 has emphasised the need for a comprehensive reform of the United Nations structure.
  • The Minister has highlighted that the United Nations could possibly lose its relevance and effectiveness without comprehensive reforms of the United Nations structure and democratization in the decision-making process.
• Defence ministers, chiefs of army staff and international organizations from 35 countries participated in the 10th annual Moscow Conference on International Security.
  • The conference takes place simultaneously with the Army International Military-Technical Forum and the International Army Games, both also hosted by Russia’s Defense Ministry.
• Through this conference, Russia tried to consolidate support from most developing countries.
