The Prime Minister of India chaired the 2nd national conference of Chief Secretaries in New Delhi.
The objective is to promote cooperative federalism, through Central Ministries and Departments working together with States in seamless coordination, which is an essential pillar for the development and progress of New India.
It is an important forum to exchange views on important policy-related subjects and to strengthen team spirit to take India to newer heights.
The conference focused on achieving rapid and sustained economic growth in partnership with the States.
More than 200 people including representatives of the Union Government, Chief Secretaries, and other senior officials of States, Union Territories, and domain experts are participating in the conference.
