Context: 

DARPG has issued guidelines for the 28th National e-Governance Awards 2025, inviting nominations across six categories for Gold and Silver awards.

28th National e-Governance Awards Scheme 2025

The DARPG (Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances) issued the guidelines for the 28th National e-Governance Awards Scheme 2025 on January 1, 2025.

The nominations can be submitted online through the official portal until February 15, 2025.

The awards are aimed at recognizing excellence in e-Governance implementation across six categories:

  1. Government Process Re-engineering for Digital Transformation
  2. Innovation using AI and other technologies for Citizen-Centric Services
  3. Best e-Gov Practices in Cyber Security
  4. Grassroots Level Initiatives for Service Delivery by Districts/ULBs/Gram Panchayats
  5. Replication and Scaling of Successful Projects
  6. Digital Transformation through Data Analytics on Digital Platforms

Who can participate?

All Central Ministries, State Governments, District Collectors, and Research Institutions are invited to participate in the 28th National e-Governance Awards Scheme 2025.  

What are the awards given under the National e-Governance Awards 2025?

The 28th National e-Governance Awards 2025 will recognize 16 awards in total. Among them, 10 will be Gold Awards, and 6 will be Silver Awards.

Each Gold Awardee will receive a trophy, a certificate, and an incentive of Rs. 10 lakh.

Silver Awardees will receive a trophy, certificate, and Rs. 5 lakh.

These funds will be allocated to the District/Organization for project/programme implementation or bridging resource gaps in public welfare.
