- The Union Government stated that the National Single Window System (NSWS) Portal has created a new landmark by crossing 75 thousand of approvals for various Central, State, and UT clearances.
- The platform was launched by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in 2021.
- The portal is providing a single interface to apply for all Government-to-business (G2B) clearances from various Ministries and Departments as well as eliminating duplication of work.
- The National Single Window System (NSWS) is a digital platform to guide potential users in identifying and applying for approvals according to their business requirements.
- The portal hosts applications for approvals from 26 Central Departments and 19 State Governments.
- The platform is built to serve as an advisory tool to identify approvals based on user input and is to be used for guidance purposes only.

- It will bring Transparency, Accountability & Responsiveness to the ecosystem

Included Services:
- Know Your Approval (KYA) Service: an intelligent information wizard that generates a list of approvals required by any business to commence operations.
- Common Registration Form: To ensure a single point of submission of information and documents across Ministries and States, a unified information capturing system along with a common registration form has been introduced.
- State registration form: Enables investors to have seamless single-click access to respective State Single Window System.
- Applicant dashboard: Provides a single online interface to apply, track and respond to queries about approvals and registrations across ministries and States.
- Document repository: An online centralized storage service for investors to enable one-time document submission and use the same across multiple approvals. This eliminates the need to submit documents at multiple portals.
- E-Communication module: Enables online response to queries and clarification requests related to applications by Ministries and States.
