About Pandupol Hanuman Temple:

Pandupol Hanuman Temple is located in Sariska, Alwar, Rajasthan.

It has a historical context with respect to Mahabharata. It is believed that during their exile, the Pandavas visited this place and worshipped Lord Hanuman. Here Bhima had an encounter with Lord Hanuman.

The name ‘Pandupol’ is derived from the word ‘Pandava’ and it was the Pandavas who established the reclining statue of Lord Hanuman.

The Pandupol Hanuman Temple is situated amidst scenic natural surroundings. It is located in the foothills of the Aravalli Range, which adds to its charm and provides a serene and tranquil environment for devotees.

About Sariska Tiger Reserve:

It is a tiger reserve in Alwar district, Rajasthan, and it is nestled in Aravali hills.

This area was a hunting preserve of the Alwar state and was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1958

At the centre of the Reserve, there is Kankarwadi Fort and it is said that Mughal emperor Aurangzeb had imprisoned his brother Dara Shikoh at this fort in struggle for succession to the throne.
