PANGSAU PASS

Pangsau Pass, located on the Patkai hills along the India-Myanmar border, is historically significant as the Shan tribe's route into Assam and a key obstacle for General "Vinegar Joe" Stilwell during World War II. It connects Assam to Burma and is famous for the Lake of No Return. The Pangsau Pass International Festival celebrates cultural exchange between tribes of Northeast India and Myanmar.
