About the PLFS

The National Statistical Office (NSO) launched the first computer-based survey to measure labour force participation dynamics at three-month intervals for urban areas in April 2017. The current dataset is the 25th in the series.

The PLFS measures the unemployment rate using the current weekly status (CWS), which determines activity status based on the reference period of the past seven days preceding the date of the survey.
