The Ministry of Education has launched the PM-YUVA 3.0 (Prime Minister's Scheme for Mentoring Young Authors) scheme .
It is an author mentorship program to train authors under the age of 30 years.
It aims to promote reading, writing, and book culture across India by developing a new generation of writers who can express diverse outlooks on Indian heritage, culture, and knowledge systems.
PM-YUVA 3.0 aims to encourages authors to explore three themes:
The National Book Trust serves as the implementing agency for this scheme. It will mentor 50 selected authors through a structured 6-month mentorship (June 30–December 30, 2025) to ensure systematic development of young authors.
About National Book Trust (NBT) It is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education. It was established in 1957 to promote books and reading. The objectives of the NBT include publishing and promoting good literature in English, Hindi, and other Indian languages, making literature accessible at affordable prices, and organizing book fairs, exhibitions, and seminars. NBT's activities include publishing, promoting books and reading, promoting Indian books abroad, assisting authors and publishers, and promoting children's literature.
