The President of India awarded the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar to 17 children for achievements in various fields, celebrating innovation, courage, and creativity.
It is the highest civilian honour presented to children in India.
It recognises outstanding achievements in a number of fields, including art, culture, bravery, innovation, science, technology, social service, sports, and the environment.
The PM Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is organised by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
Be an Indian citizen.
Be between the ages of 5 and 18 (as of 31st July of the respective year).
Have achieved the nominated act/incident within the last two years from the deadline for receiving nominations.
This year, 17 children (7 boys and 10 girls) from 14 states and union territories will be awarded the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar. These children have made outstanding achievements in a variety of fields. |
This year's PM Rashtriya Bal Puraskar was presented on Veer Bal Diwas (December 26th). Each awardee receives a medal, a certificate, and a citation booklet in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
On Veer Bal Diwas, the PM launched the Suposhit Panchayat scheme to improve nutritional outcomes and well-being by strengthening the implementation of nutrition-related services and encouraging active community participation.
