Context:

  • The Assam National Health Mission, in collaboration with Piramal Swasthya and Cisco, has launched the "Niramay" project to demonstrate the integration of digital health technology to enhance the state's public health care.

About Niramay:

  • This is a step towards strengthening Assam's public health care by realizing the vision of the Honorary Prime Minister of the National Digital Health Mission.
  • This initiative is based on Piramal Swasthya's unique integrated medical technology platform, AMRIT (accessible medical records via integrated technology).
  • The project works to strengthen the digital infrastructure that enables telemedicine interaction, rapid diagnosis, patient recording, and grassroots data collection in three emerging areas of Assam (Barpeta, Daran, and Baxa). increase.

About AMRIT – Accessible Medical Records via Integrated Technologies

  • It is an integrated technology platform developed by Piramal Swasthya that creates and stores electronic health records for public primary care beneficiaries.
  • Beneficiaries will receive a unique ID that facilitates the referral mechanism of the public health ecosystem, and will be able to receive primary health services in an available, accessible and affordable way. This is a public technology platform for primary health care.
  • This helps governments make evidence-based decisions by ensuring the collection of high-quality data.
  • Frontline workers can use this platform for effective payee management and remittance tracking.
  • With a focus on beneficiaries, AMRIT assists beneficiaries by creating standard treatment protocol mechanisms, reducing treatment disparities and duplications and ensuring quality treatment.

 

About National Digital Health Mission

  • This includes two submissions, the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM).
