• The National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), under the Ministry of Steel, wins one gold and one silver award in the 80th SKOCH Summit conducted by SKOCH, New Delhi.
  • National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) is the largest iron ore producer in India,
• The theme for the SKOCH Summit was ‘State of BFSI & PSUs’.
• NMDC won the Gold Award in the category of social responsibility for ‘Promotion of Technical Education and Skill Development in Dantewada District, Chhattisgarh”.
• NMDC won the Silver Award in the category of digital inclusion for the ‘Project Kalpataru’ for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation.

SKOCH Award

• It was instituted in 2003; the SKOCH Award compliments people, projects and institutions that go the extra mile to make India a better nation.
• SKOCH Award winners receive this Award for their extraordinary achievements in contributing to society.
• SKOCH Award is one of the highest civilian honours in the country conferred by an independent organisation.
