• About: Ukraine is a large country in Eastern Europe. The nation's capital and largest city is Kyiv.
• Borders: It shares borders with Belarus to the north; Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary to the west; Romania and Moldova to the south; and has a coastline along the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.
• Rivers: It is crossed by rivers such as the Dnieper, Dniester and the Southern Bug as they flow south into the Black Sea and the smaller Sea of Azov.
• Mountains: The country's only mountains are the Carpathian Mountains in the west.
